Sunday School Information

Sunday school classes are offered for Pre-K (4 & 5 year olds) through 6th grade at 10:00 am. Children under 4 years old are encouraged to participate in our Nursery program.  Listed below are descriptions of the Sunday school classes. We recommend registering your child in the grade level of school they will be attending in the fall. Every parent needs to complete a Sunday School Registration Form for their child/children.  Forms can be found on the Sunday School Information Bulletin Board located in the hallway just opposite the church office. Up to three children can be enrolled on one form.  Completed forms should be placed in the mailbox of Mary Kovac - Partner in Ministry for Childhood Education.  The mailboxes are located across from the Craft Closet.

All 7th and 8th Graders are encouraged to attend the Worship Service at 10:00 am.  Please note that Youth Sunday school classes are offered for 9th-12th grade at 10:00, however, no registration is required for this age group.

Our Sunday School classes are activity based, fun filled lessons taught by volunteers who use a web-based curriculum, Akaloo, published by Augsburg Fortress.  Detailed lesson plans that provide for prayers, the lesson itself, songs, games, crafts, and a "Home Connection" that the children may take with them to share with their families.  Grade level handbooks that go along with the lesson are located in each classroom.

Rainbow Classes:  Include Pre-K (Ages 4 & 5), Kindergarten and 1st grade.  These classes meet in the hallway directly behind the church offices.  (Hint:  Look for the rainbow on the wall.)  Pre-K meets in Rooms 123 & 125 (these are connected).  Kindergarten meets in Room 127, and 1st grade meets in Room 129.

Promiseland Classes: Are comprised of  2nd through 4th grade.  2nd graders meet in Room 137, 3rd graders meet in Room 139, and 4th graders meet in Room 143.  All these classrooms are located adjacent to Fellowship Hall.

The R.O.C.K. Class: This class is a combination of 5th and 6th graders and definitely lives up to their reputation as  "Really Outstanding Christian Kids"! Due to the ever-increasing number of children in this class, they are now relocated in the Adult Forum or Room 213/215 which happens to be one of the largest classrooms available.

Nursery Information

During the summer months, there is a Nursery available for both the 9:00 am Rejoice Service and the 10:30 am Traditional Service.

From September through June, the Nursery is available at all Sunday morning services except the 8:15 am service.  Our Nursery provides for children three years old and younger. Parents using the Nursery may occasionally be asked to help the Nursery Staff if the number of children signed in exceeds the state-mandated ratio of children per caregiver.
