Prayer Chain

Trinity has two prayer chains, a Telephone Prayer Chain and an E-Mail Prayer chain, that pray for Trinity members as well as friends, neighbors, and acquaintances of Trinity members.

Telephone Prayer Chain

IF YOU HAVE A PRAYER REQUEST or would like to join the Telephone Prayer Chain, contact one of the team coordinators:

  • Midge Reges (676-2231)
  • Anita Huizenga (949-2329)

Responsibilities of those on the telephone chain are as follows:

  1. Write down the request exactly as given to you - keep it simple and direct.
  2. Read the request back, to be sure you've understood the request correctly.
  3. Pray immediately before calling the next person on your list.
  4. Should you reach a member's answering machine, it is okay to leave the prayer request on the machine. However, also continue calling down the chain until you are able to actually talk to a fellow Prayer Chain member. Pass on only the information as given to you - do not distort or conjecture.
  5. Pray God's will...and pray fervently.
  6. Keep requests on your prayer list one week unless otherwise instructed.
  7. If you are the last person on the chain it is very important that you call your Captain to let him/her know you received the prayer, and the chain is completed.

Electronic Prayer Chain

IF YOU HAVE A PRAYER REQUEST or would like to join Trinity's Electronic Prayer Chain, contact the e-mail Prayer Chain Coordinator, Steve Cairns at slcairns@iserv.net.

Responsibilities of those on the e-mail chain are as follows:

  1. Stop and pray for the requested person(s) immediately upon receiving the request.
  2. Pray daily for the requested person(s) for one week, unless otherwise instructed.
  3. Keep all requests confidential.
