Adult Education Mid-Week
Trinity offers numerous educational and small group opportunities during the week - there is something for everyone! Some Bible Study groups are appropriate for all ages while others are based on mutual interests or because of the participants' age or gender. Below you will find descriptions of some of Trinity's Small Group Bible Studies.
  • Ah...Men Bible Study: Trinity men of all ages get together periodically on Sunday evenings for fun, fellowship and to work on strengthening their Christian faith, relationships and mission in their homes, churches and communities.

  • Book Clubs: Trinity women who love to read get together once a month during the school year. They read all kinds of literature and enjoy discussing books from a religious point of view instead of just secular.

  • Couples Group: Trinity couples get together twice per month to read and discuss books about the Christian life in order to grow spiritually. Periodically there is room for more couples to join the existing couples group or, with enough interest, we could start an additional Couple Group! This is a great way to build friendships with other couples.

  • Journey in Scripture: Pastor Paul guides participants through the main themes and topics found in the writings of the Old and New Testament. No deep knowledge or expertise is necessary as a leisurely journey is taken through God's Word. Classes are held at Trinity on most Wednesdays throughout the church year; one class in the morning and one in the evening.

  • Men's Bible Study/Discussion: Meet at a local restaurant for breakfast and participate in a discussion about our journeys of faith. It is also a perfect opportunity to share time and thought with Pastor Paul in an informal setting.

  • LATTE (Let All That Thirst Enter): This group of women meets once a month at Trinity and uses the Bible Study from the "Lutheran Woman Today" magazine.

  • Lenten Grace Groups: Grace Groups are one of Trinity’s special lifelong learning opportunities that take place during Lent. These short-term small groups meet weekly during the five weeks of Lent to read and reflect on the theme of each Sunday’s homily. Thought-provoking discussions enhance your own spiritual growth and help others grow as well. Signups for Grace Groups begin a month or so before the Lenten Season begins.

  • PBS (Parents' Bible Study): Join other Moms for friendship-building, support, prayer, and spiritual growth. They meet weekly during the school year to study books of the Bible or other Bible-related topics along with fellowship and prayer time. This is a wonderful opportunity to take a little time out each week to get to know other moms and grow closer to God. Two different morning sessions are offered as well as one evening session. Childcare is available at some sessions with prior arrangements.

  • Prayer Group (TULIP - Trinity Up-Lifted In Prayer): One morning per week, a women's prayer group gathers to pray for the needs of Trinity, the church leaders and members, as well as for the ELCA at large. Each session last no more than 45 minutes - you may pray silently if you prefer not to pray out loud. Each week begins by reading a few brief Scripture passages and then pray as a group by praising God, thanking God, confessing silently to Him, and finally, petitioning for our church's needs that week.

  • Sarah Guild: A diverse group of women get together monthly in each other's homes to provide strength and support, edifying one another to grow in their relationships with Christ through Bible Study, books, prayer and discussion.

  • Wild Wednesdays: Come for a delicious dinner and stay for more!! Periodically throughout the church year, we offer a casual meal at 5:30 pm for just $2 per person ($10 maximum per family). Afterwards there are several options from which to choose: a Bible Study with Pastor Paul, a topical Speakers' Series, Confirmation, Children's Choir Rehearsal, Homework Opportunity Room, Nursery, etc. Evenings can be very busy for families...but Wednesdays at Trinity are easier AND more fun!!
